What could change for you

Less juggling. A plan to move forward.

Depending on the option that suits your situation, we can help you work towards:

One manageable repayment.

Bring the debts included in an arrangement into one regular payment, based on what you can afford.

Interest frozen. Less to repay.

An agreed arrangement can freeze interest and reduce the amount you owe to the creditors included.

A clear finish to work towards.

Know what you’ll pay and when your agreed repayments finish, with a clear schedule to follow.

And a team to deal with creditors.

If you choose an arrangement we manage, we deal with the included creditors and support you along the way.

Talk about your options

Options such as debt agreements have fees and eligibility requirements, need creditor approval, and affect your credit and public record. We’ll explain these alongside the benefits before you decide.

Your first step

You talk. We listen.

You don’t need to know which option is right. Tell us what’s been happening. We’ll look at what you can afford and help you understand the ways forward.

Helping people across Australia. Wherever you are, we can start with a phone conversation.

Groceries, housing, transport and other essentials belong in the budget, too.

  • Look beyond the repayments.

We consider your home, car, work and credit, so you understand how each option fits your life.

A little more clarity

Frequently asked questions.

A few useful answers. You don’t need to have everything worked out to get in touch.

Is the debt help review free?

Yes. Your initial 30-minute phone consultation is free, with no obligation. If you choose a paid service, we explain the fees and total cost before you decide.

Free, independent financial counselling is also available through the National Debt Helpline.

What happens on the first call?

We listen to what’s happening, talk through your debts and everyday costs, and explain the options that may suit you.

A rough idea of what you owe, earn and spend is helpful. You don’t need perfect figures or every document ready to start a conversation.

Do I need to know which option is right for me?

No. Working that out together is the point of the review. We consider affordability, costs and the effects on your life, including your credit file. You can ask about one option and find another is a better fit.

You decide whether to take the next step. An enquiry does not commit you to an agreement.

Can I get help if I’m still keeping up with payments?

Yes, you can talk to us before you fall behind. If repayments are leaving too little for everyday living costs, we can help you understand the options available for your situation.

Can I keep my home and car?

Keeping your home and car is something we consider from the start. Some arrangements let you keep both while dealing with other debts. We’ll explain how the available options would work for your circumstances.

Your mortgage and secured car-loan repayments still need to be maintained. Those lenders keep their rights over the assets securing their loans.

Is this a debt consolidation loan?

No. This is help with your existing debts, rather than a new loan. We look at your circumstances and explain suitable repayment options, including how they differ from borrowing more money.
